Tight Lines – 1st of December
December 01, 2023

Welcome To This Week’s Edition Of Tight Lines!

First up, this week Cray fever is well and truly starting to hit. Check out Zacsworld and Saltwater Obsession’s efforts during the week. For the potters make sure you’re sitting well and truly on the sand, to the West North West of the structure. Keep your pots weighted down well with fresh bait for best success.

The annual walk of the whites is about to start.

For those that love our other tasty crustacean Blue Manna Crabs, this season opens today on the 1st of December. We tend to find more undersized crabs at the start of the season, do your best to return these to the water ASAP after capturing to ensure they grow out, to a tasty sized crab, over the rest of the summer ahead.

If Roe abalone is on your bucket list, the first 1-hour window is coming up Saturday the 9th of December.

Add a couple of these to your Crays and Crabs and you have crustacean Heaven right here on your doorstep.

To the Estuary, where Flynn has been attracting some great sized Tailor on surface lures with ultra-light tackle. Surface strikes that get the spine tingling

Speaking of spine-tingling fishing, Ella has out done the boys this week with her capture of a Giant herring in our Estuary. Yes, that’s right, a Giant Herring. A rare and memorable catch Ella and that’s why you’re the winner of this week’s Tackle World Miami $50 Voucher.

Wherever you get the chance to wet a line this weekend as always good luck tight lines and remember every day’s a good day for fishing.

WIN a $50 voucher every week!

We’re looking for local legends who are making the most of our demersal ban and finding other ways to wet a line this season.
