Welcome to this week’s edition of Tight Lines, the Tackle World Miami Weekly Fishing Report.
Tackle World Miami and our weekly fishing report is your go-to source for the latest fishing conditions across Mandurah, Dawesville, Falcon, and the greater Peel region. From offshore action and beach sessions to estuary systems like the Harvey and Murray rivers, we’ve got the local insights to help you plan your next trip and keep your lines tight.

I love the dedication of our local anglers making the most of every opportunity they can get. Cold winter conditions might only leave small windows to fish, but as this week’s Mandurah fishing report shows, those windows can be well worth it.
Vince has stayed consistent right through the winter months, once again landing a double on land-based snapper this week. Great angling, Vince.
Winter tailor are also around in good numbers, and there are some solid models in the mix. These fish thrive in onshore conditions and will happily strike at a well-presented bait or lure fished through some whitewash.
Koby managed to get offshore and chase a few local King George whiting. These are always a rewarding catch and even better on the dinner plate. Long, thin strip baits on a narrow gape hook are ideal and will give you a better hook-up rate than a ball of bait or traditional octopus hook.
The offshore reefs are also producing skippy. A light burley trail on structure is a great way to find them up and down the coast. Float a lightly weighted bait, micro jig or soft plastic down the trail and hang on. Bigger winter Samson fish are also about and have been known to steal a skippy right off the hook.
Cody has been grinning all week after landing a cracking black bream from our river systems. Once these fish push past 36 cm and start showing that slight blue tone on their top lip, they become a serious challenge. As always, they charge straight back toward structure and test your gear and reflexes.
As a reminder, we are still in a Demersal closure for boat fishing. Land-based anglers can still target these species. Gill netting in the Peel Estuary remains closed until November. If you can find a break in the weather, the fish are there to be found.

Wherever you get the chance this week as always good luck tight lines and remember every day’s a good day for fishing.
