Tackle World Miami Weekly Fishing Report

Welcome to this week’s edition of Tight Lines, your go-to source for the latest Mandurah fishing conditions. From offshore adventures to estuary escapades, we’ve got the local insights to keep your lines tight.

Weekly Winner | Holly enjoying some quality dive time

Great start to the Marron season in local dams and rivers throughout the Southwest. With good numbers and some fantastic sized Marron being enjoyed by anglers. Remember this is a short season that finishes on Thursday the 5th of February at 12 noon.

Pelagics the summer run is certainly hitting its straps. With Blue fin Tuna, Dolphin fish, shark mackerel, Yellow fin Tuna and Marlin all being caught so far this season. Yellow Tail kings are also in good numbers on our inshore reef systems with solid tailor mixed amongst them.

The elusive Mandurah Spanish Mackerel, it’s time to put some time in they have been spotted as far south as Bunbury. And seen by divers all along our local coastline.

We have seen some nice solid Bream caught in the lower reaches of our rivers and in our sheltered marinas.

Juvenile Mulloway also keeping anglers on their toes when fishing with light gear up our rivers.

Land based anglers have made the most of the late afternoon high tides. Combined with the setting sun Tailor and Herring have been Prolific. Better numbers of Squid are also chasing the bait with the incoming clean water at the top of the tide.

After dark anglers are still managing to tangle with some nice Land based Pink snapper. Even though the water is quite clean.

Divers are enjoying the good visibility with fantastic numbers of crays in 20 to 30 meters.

And to all the fabulous people that joined us at the Falcon Lions Club Tackle World Miami Kids fish comp at Falcon Bay last weekend thanks you. With over 170 kids registered it was an amazing morning of family, friends and fishing.
