First up, this week a shout out to one of our local junior anglers, Payton has landed herself a pending 2kg line class state, and Australian record fish. With a Southern BlueFin Tuna. Great achievement Payton.
Since we’re on the BlueFin, check out the solid one Flynn trolled up while heading out for a Sambo session on jigs, with his fishing buddy Austin.
Jo has also been enjoying some great opportunities with a solid inshore King George whiting, plus the bonus of a solid Bluefin on the way back to the boat ramp.
The Westboys have been making the most of the early season Tailor in our estuary targeting solid fish on surface lures.
And speaking of our estuary, check out the size of the Yellowfin whiting Mathew landed, absolute stonker.
If the tranquillity of the freshwater scene is what you’re looking for this weekend – it’s well and truly worth it, Jacob’s solid brown trout earlier in the week is a good example of what’s on offer in our local freshwater fishery.
And just a reminder that we are on the cusp of the annual white’s run. Time to drag your pots out of the shed and into the salty brine.
