Welcome to this week’s edition of on The Bite / The Reel Fishing Spot
The weather gods are shining, and the two-week demersal season opening is upon us. That’s right, fishing for demersals by boat is open from Saturday the 23rd of September through til Sunday the 8th of October.
Remember, under the new rule; size limits have been removed for species like Dhufish and Baldchin, however it still remains for Pink Snapper. We also now have a demersal boat limit of 4 when two or more people are on board.
Our estuary system is fishing well, just ask Regan and Alex with their solid Tailor. By using surface lures to help attract fish on a slow troll along the steps of our estuaries.
Over the past week, there were brief pockets of sunshine causing the yellowfin to be excited enough to have a crack on the surface. Tim managed to tease up a few himself.
Shane managed to land a couple of nice land based Pink Snapper this week with one of them pushing the ruler out over 90 centimeters.
Finally, Melissa and her family had a blast with some local BlueFin Tuna. Their smiles say it all!
Wherever you get the chance to wet a line this weekend, as always, good luck, tight lines, and remember every day’s a good day for fishing.
