Welcome to this week’s edition of on The Bite / The Reel Fishing Spot
For the pelagic fishos first up this week with the deployment of more FADS, the Naturalist and Steep point FADS going in earlier in the week.
We have also seen the start of some nice currents forming offshore which fingers crossed will carry bait fish and pelagic predators to our local waters.
Jet has been flicking for Flathead in metro waters with good success.
Tyson had a great day out nabbing a couple of Blue fin and Kg’s.
And check out the size of the squid Ryan has been consistently getting right on our doorstep.
Local divers have been having a blast with fantastic visibility from 12 metres right out through the 30’s. With crays filling catch bags to the brim.
And for those of you that drop pots, we are seeing the signs of movement with whites starting to harden and become active. Remember, keep your pots to the west, north-west of the structure in the sand ready for when they walk.
And if Blue Manna crabs are your preferred crustation the 1st of December is the start of another local crab season right here in local waters.
Wherever you get the chance to wet a line this weekend as always, good luck tight lines and remember every day’s a good day for fishing.
