Welcome to this week’s edition of Tight Lines
This weekend, the weather forecast for an offshore pelagic run is looking good. There is a good current push around the 100 to 120 metre mark combined with a warmer section of water in the same area, all of this tied together, and a bit of time put into towing a diverse and well presented spread of lures, will hopefully bring some metro pelagic success.
Inshore good Sand whiting in the sand holes inside the 5-fathom bank can be found around the weed edges.
Bigger King George can be found just outside the 30-metre line.
There are still some nice sized skippy turning up in well-presented burley trails, from the 5-fathom bank to the beaches and into our Estuary System.
To the South of our state we are starting to see the build up of the Autumn Salmon Run. With fish schooling between Bremer Bay and Albany. If you haven’t registered for the Western Angler Salmon Slam simply jump onto the Facebook link to get started or download the Salmon Slam App onto your Phone.
And to the North of our state, we have seen anglers enjoy a hot bite at Gamex In Exmouth, one of Australia’s premier game fishing tournaments. Once again with pending Australian records being broken.
Wherever you get the chance to wet a line this weekend as always, good luck tight lines, and remember every day’s a good day for fishing
