Tight Lines – 20th June
June 20, 2024

Welcome to this week’s edition of Tight Lines

Great fishing for all those that seized the weather opportunities over the past week. Winter squid activity was on both for land based and boaties

Demersals were on the chew between fronts. From inshore shallow water Pink Snapper to some good Dhufish, Breaksea and Baldchin. Plus, a cracking Harlequin all from local waters.

Big winter skippy have also been active within berley trails for those that have been anchoring up. Beaches have seen good numbers of Mulloway, Snapper, Tailor and early morning Salmon.

Freshwater this time of year, it’s all about the streams that feed the rivers that feed our dams. The flowing water is the place to find the more active fish. Some of these streams can be as little as a few metres wide, a good set of sunnies to spot the fish and you too can have a very rewarding afternoon.

Wherever you get the chance to wet a line this weekend as always, good luck tight lines, and remember every day’s a good day for fishing.
