Tight Lines – 26th January 2024
January 25, 2024

Welcome to this week’s edition of Tight Lines

Estuary and Shore based first up this week, Whilst the crabbing has been a bit of a grind so far this season, being in the right place at the right time, is still yielding results.

Check out the nice feed of perfect Mandurah Blue Mannas, Blake and Mrs Salty enjoyed during the week.

The build up to the full moon is always tailor time, our estuary and beaches haven’t disappointed anglers at all with a solid bite and plenty of fish over 40cm, Greg and his granddaughter enjoying not only some great Tailor, but some quality time together, simply priceless.

Offshore the past week has seen a solid bite by some rather large Dhu’s

Pushing the meter mark on many occasions. Special fish for any angler that is lucky enough to land one.

Pelagic wise there has been Dollie, Tuna and Marlin action all within reach of Mandurah boaties. Bigger Tuna and dollies from the 60 metre mark.

If you’re more of an inshore boatie there has also been Blue fin, pushing up against a chlorophyll line along the back of the 20 metre mark.

Wherever you get the chance to wet a line this Australia Day long weekend, Stay safe and as always, good luck tight lines, and remember every day’s a good day for fishing.
