Tight Lines – 27th June
June 27, 2024

Welcome To This Week’s Edition Of Tight Lines

Another good week of winter fishing in the Southwest of WA. Offshore we have seen consistent Dhufish and Baldchin.

We also still have good bait in the 30 to 40 metre line offshore, holding good numbers of larger BlueFin Tuna. Winter Pelagics are still an option in local waters.

Even though it’s been a week of the full moon phase we have still seen Inshore Pink Snapper and Skippy that are in good numbers with some solid fish amongst them up around the 80cm mark. I’m looking forward to the dark side of the moon in two weeks’ time. It could get super exciting.

Our Estuary is still fishing well with plenty of clear water still holding good numbers of Squid tailor and Herring. The Dawesville cut itself has been producing plenty of good Herring.

If you’re looking for a fully immersed experience, try exploring the small streams that feed our freshwater rivers. They certainly can produce a rewarding experience. Check out the trout that the Westyboys have been catching lately. Great angling boys.

Wherever you get the chance to wet a line this weekend as always, good luck tight lines, and remember every day’s a good day for fishing.
