Welcome to this week’s edition of Tight Lines
First up this week, the one-hour window for the third Roe Abalone session scheduled for Saturday the 3rd of February, has been cancelled due to the forecast of swell big enough to be deemed to be unsafe.
All is not lost as the department looks to reschedule this weekend’s session for a date in March.
Our 6 week demersal opening came to an end at midnight on Wednesday, and what a cracking 6 weeks it was with many anglers catching some absolute crackers.
Another date to note is this Monday the 5th at 12 noon, the 4 week Marron season comes to a close, so this weekend is your last chance to snare yourself a freshwater delicacy.
Some classic catches this week with the last of the demersal season, notable Baldchin and Breaksea Cod, Add to this Olly’s Dolli on Spear, Some Solid Blue Fin Tuna, plus check out Oakley’s Mulloway off the beach and Trav’s Estuary Whiting session on the new Ocean legacy’s Roven micro jigs.
Wherever you get the chance to wet a line this weekend as always, good luck tight lines, and remember every day’s a good day for fishing.
