Welcome to this week’s edition of Tight Lines, the Tackle World Miami Weekly Fishing Report.
Tackle World Miami and our weekly fishing report is your go-to source for the latest fishing conditions across Mandurah, Dawesville, Falcon, and the greater Peel region. From offshore action and beach sessions to estuary systems like the Harvey and Murray rivers, we’ve got the local insights to help you plan your next trip and keep your lines tight.

Winter storms, rain and swells left only a few fishing windows open this week for those of us brave enough to suit up in our warmest gear and hit the water. The good news? There’s still plenty of fish on offer if you know where to look.
Recent rainfall has pushed extra water into the Murray and Serpentine rivers, triggering a welcome run of Mulloway. Some solid fish have been found in the deeper holes, with plenty of smaller ones in the mix too. Black Bream have also been active, especially around structure like snags and drop-offs.

The local dams and rivers have seen a movement of Trout as they start to gather near the mouths of run-off creeks. Rising water levels are opening up new feeding zones. These fish are part of our breeding stock, so make sure you’re across the bag limits to help protect this valuable fishery.
Estuary Tailor have been out in numbers, caught on the troll, casting stickbaits or even pitching unweighted baits out the back. This style of fishing is ideal for kids, with consistent hook-ups and loads of fun. Look for areas where the outgoing tide spills off the flats into deeper channels.

Our inshore Snapper fishing continues to deliver, especially in this rough winter weather. The murky conditions have them on the hunt, making the most of stirred-up bait and exposed prey. Fish are being landed as close as 1 mile from shore, particularly behind the reef and weed beds. For land-based anglers, a well-prepared burley trail is all you need to get the bite happening right at your feet.
Wherever you get the chance this week as always good luck tight lines and remember every day’s a good day for fishing.
