Tackle World Miami Weekly Fishing Report.
Welcome to this week’s edition of Tight Lines, your go-to source for the latest Mandurah fishing conditions. From offshore adventures to estuary escapades, we’ve got the local insights to keep your lines tight.

Solid inshore Pink Snapper have been on the bite during the past week Daniels being a standout Cracking 90cm in less than 9mtrs of water. Absolutely some of the most exciting fishing you can do.
Check out Alphie with his first WA Dhu, and Lochlan who landed himself his biggest WA Dhufish to date. Remember the current demersal opening is the main part of the demersal season being open all the way until the end of July.

Cuttlefish are often a bit of a by catch when drifting for Demersals, and while their looks are at times off putting, eating the right parts is super rewarding. When I land a Cuttle fish, I drop them into a bucket by themselves dry with no water in it.
Once they have settled down lay them on their back and take a nice sharp knife to carefully slit open their belly cavity. Keep the knife tip shallow as sitting directly under is the Ink bag. Pinch the tip of the ink bag and carefully dissect it from the rest of the stomach once dissected, throw this overboard.
You now have a Cuttle fish that will make no more mess, the thick belly flaps and the tentacles are great to eat, with the two long arms being the delicacy with some people even eating them raw with a dip of Soy or wasabi.
The two belly flaps can be lightly tenderised with a steak hammer then sliced thin dusted in flour before a 30sec deep or shallow fry.

The build up to the full moon this week will help the Tailor and Squid early evening bite, both well worth a cast as the sun dips over the horizon.
The Autumn Herring are also firing along our beaches, rock walls and groins.

Wherever you get the chance this week as always good luck tight lines and remember every day’s a good day for fishing.
